Custom dashboards allow each user to tailor their homepage view to show only the most relevant tools, reports, and features. This guide includes a video tutorial, step-by-step instructions, and advanced capabilities.

Tutorial 1: How to Log In and Access Dashboard Settings

  1. Upon logging in select your profile icon in the upper right corner

Keyboard Shortcut: Alt + Z to open dashboard customization directly.

 
  1. Select Customize Dashboard 
  1.  You will now be able to edit your dashboard as desired 
  1. To exit dashboard editing, select done

    Keyboard Shortcut: Alt + x to close dashboard customization directly.

     

 

 

Tutorial 2: Dashboard Basics & Navigation:

Within dashboard editing you are presented with a toolbox of various items you may add to your custom dashboard. Widgets are the independent items within the toolbox that you are able to add to your layout.

Toolbox Items:

Body Parts: Injured body parts chart helps identify common injury trends, guide prevention strategies, and inform resource allocation for treatment and support.

 

Incident Reports: Shows incident reports saved in draft state. Useful for alerting providers to incomplete incidents and providing quick access to complete them.

Organizations: Lists all organizations you are assigned to or have access to.

Compliance: Displays document compliance reports.

Notifications: Shows recent notifications.

Patient Card: Links to a patient profile, useful for frequently accessed patients.

CEU Progress: Tracks individual progress toward CEU completion.

Organization Card: Links to a specific organization, ideal for quick access rather than viewing all organizations.

Inactive Patients: Displays patients with any status other than active, helping prioritize profiles needing attention.

Problem Count: Lists problem counts over time to identify trends, track progress, and detect recurring issues.

Bar Chart: Compares values across categories, making differences and patterns easy to see at a glance.

Problem Types: Breaks down problems by type to identify common issues and prioritize interventions.

Referrals: Shows recent referrals to ensure proper follow-up.

Image: Inserts a web-hosted image, ensuring it’s always up to date.

Organization Logo: Reinforces branding, establishes professionalism, and identifies the organization linked to the dashboard

Line Chart: Shows trends over time to visualize changes and patterns

 

Text: Allows adding custom text.

Pie Chart: Visually represents proportions or percentages, showing how parts contribute to a whole.

Table: Organizes and presents data clearly, aiding comparison and insight.

 

Report Link: Links to a frequently run report from the reporting tab for quick access.

Schedule: Provides quick access to your upcoming tasks and appointments to help you stay organized and manage time effectively

Team Card: Links directly to a desired team, helpful when teams are in season (e.g., a Fall card for fall-season teams)

Teams: Lists all teams you have access to.

Layouts – Prebuilt layout templates to drag and drop into your dashboard.

Note: Adding entities often requires more than just selecting “Add.” Once you've added a widget to your dashboard, you'll need to edit the widget itself. To do this, select the menu icon (three dots) on the widget and choose Edit to customize it to suit your needs.

 

 

Tutorial 3: Working with Tabs

Tabs act like browser tabs, letting you create and switch between multiple dashboards. 

  1. Select + to add a new tab 
  1. Select the menu icon (:) to the right of a tab to complete desired actions
Rename – Give your tab a custom name.

 

Show Title – Display the tab’s title at the top.

Visible – Make the tab visible only in edit mode.
 

Pro Tip: Use Visible to put out-of-season dashboards out of sight

 

 

Delete – Permanently remove the tab (note: cannot be undone).

Pro Tip: If testing a new layout, create a new tab and hide the old one instead of deleting it.

 

 

Reorder -  Use to reorder your dashboard tabs

Drag tabs to the proper order and select OK 

Clear - used to clear contents of dashboard tab
Import -  Upload a .json file 

 

Export - export dashboard layout as a .json file 

 

Tutorial 4: Toolbar Options (Icons)

Done – Exit dashboard editing.
Clear – Reset current tab layout (can also be done from tab options).
Reset – Remove all tabs and restore default layout.
Export – Save the layout for reuse or sharing.
Import – Load a previously exported layout (can also be done from tab menu).

Tutorial 5: Administrator Dashboard Management

Admins can set default dashboards for their entire organization:

  1. Create and Customize the desired dashboard
  2. Export the layout

  1. Go to the Admin Tab > Healthcare Provider > Provider Information 

 

  1. Upload the exported .json file 
  1. Click Save

  1. Select the menu icon to the right of the tab, then select rename
  1. It's recommended to provide your tab with a name that will reflect the information housed on the dashboard. Select OK. 
  1. To add a layout select from the toolbar Layouts
  1. Select Classic Layout 
  1. Next confirm you would like the layout applied. As a note applying a layout will remove any existing information from the tab you are working on. Select Apply to confirm. 
  1. Begin editing the existing layout to suit your needs.

Note: Adding entities often requires more than just selecting “Add.” Once you've added a widget to your dashboard, you'll need to edit the widget itself. To do this, select the menu icon (three dots) on the widget and choose Edit to customize it to suit your needs.

 
  1. Select Done to save your edited dashboard
