Find answers to the most common questions about the Sway platform and services to help you get the information you need quickly!
I did not receive a username and password, how do I log in to take my test?
All test-takers (athletes/patients) will not have log-in information. Your organization will provide you with a 5-character code that will allow you to jump into the correct test. Use this code on the Log-in page of your Sway Medical App after clicking "Enter Code." If you have not been provided a code, please reach out to the organization that is having to test directly.
I don't see my results when I finished, how do I know it went through?
After completing the test, you will not always see your results. This is based on the settings your organization created for your test. If you are interested in your results or want to confirm your test was completed, reach out to your organizer directly!
I completed the test, but it asks me to send a "Recovery File." What does this mean?
Don't worry, we have your test, just follow Sway - What is a Recovery File? If you cannot sync your test and are prompted to "send a recovery file" please enter the appropriate information and send. This will go directly to us to make sure your organization can access your test. We will send you a confirmation email once this process is completed.
Can I access a report of my test to share with my provider?
All tests can be created into an easy-to-read PDF to be downloaded by your organization to be shared with your permission. If this is something you would like for your records or to be shared with another provider, reach out to your organization.
My phone won't let me download the app, how do I take the test?
The Sway Medical app is compatible with many mobile devices including Apple and Android, but not all. If you are having trouble downloading, ensure that your device system has been updated. If you still cannot, reach out to your organization to discuss options on taking the test with another provided device.
Will my Sway results tell me if I have a concussion or not?
Sway Medical is a FDA Cleared 510K Class II Medical Device that combines balance and cognition into one mobile tool for concussion management. Sway Medical is not intended to be the sole determinant of a clinical diagnosis, but rather just one measure in the management of concussion.
Does it matter what shoes I wear to complete the test?
Our balance modules have been assessed for reliability regarding both shoe type and surface type which showed no significant difference. We recommend testing on a firm, flat surface and not using any sandal/slide-type of shoe.
Do I need to be on WIFI?
To complete the test, your mobile device needs to be connected to either WiFi or cellular data.
